Well done Paula Meredith and Pat Maddocks on reaching the final of the FoxPlan Prestige Pairs, which has been run at Hutt and Massey Avenue over the past three days. As Tournament Manager, Ross Gillett, said at presentations, Johnsonville has never won this event and it wasn’t to be this time either, with Paula and Pat losing the final to the Tawa pair of Pat Povey and Linda Rayner 9-16. Interestingly, on the way to the final Paula and Pat were beaten in the qualifying round by the 2021/22 winners, Cath Thomson and Phillipa Christie, but came back to knock Cath and Phillipa out in the quarter finals. A well done also to Merani Davis and Lynnie Campbell, who also qualified.
