Men's Junior Pairs Final

The Men’s Junior (1-5 years) Pairs was played at the “catch-up” time of 5pm today. The trophy for this event is the W G Barker Cup, first played for in the 1970/71 season. The finalists were first year bowlers Jonathon Millmow (s) and Brendan McDonnell, playing against second year bowlers Kevin McAlister (s) and Terry Dean.

Some latent talent was evident from all the players, but the benefit of having a season behind them was clear, when Kevin and Terry took a firm grip of the game. Jonathan and Brendan saw the writing on the wall, conceding when down 3-15 at the 11th end.
