The Andy Hogg Challenge Cup is an annual event first played for in the 1940/41 season. Last Sunday’s competition was a round-robin of three games of 10 ends between six teams (4 fours and 2 threes). Only one team had three wins – Brent Shugg, Kris Haines, Craig Hepetema and Peter Cotterell. Runners-up were Annette Dodd, Alwyn Knox, Kevin McAlister and Brendan McDonnell.
The Andy Hogg Challenge Cup is a JBC treasure, and it was a great pleasure to have Andy’s granddaughter, Janette Brider, on hand to present it to the winning team.
