Six triples competed in this event, with teams skipped by Dale Rayner and Kaaren Guilford facing off in the final, each having won three games in the preliminary rounds. As would be expected, the final was a tight game. Dale, Kay Martin and Ali Colgate met stiff opposition from Kaaren, Cynthia Evans and Lynnie Campbell. With the score at 13 all after 17 ends and Dale holding shot, Kaaren wasn’t quite able to dislodge the shot bowl – Dale’s team taking it 14-13.
