Kaaren Guilford continued her remarkable run by winning the JBC Women’s Champ Singles in a final against Gill Oliver today. To reach that point Kaaren had to overcome Paula Meredith and Gill met Merani Davis in the semi-finals.
In what has been a stellar couple of weeks, Kaaren was part of the fours team, skipped by Dale Rayner, that won the National Fours. She then came close to a double, reaching the semi-final of the National Mixed Pairs with Stephen Brien (Stokes Valley). Returning to the Club, on Saturday she was part of the JBC Women’s team that won the Premier Interclub competition. She returned today to take the Singles trophy. Not content with that, this afternoon she and Keith Alexander played Neil Hargreaves and Leslie Seabright in a nail-biting round of the Club’s Mixed Pairs, in which they just managed to hang on to win.
