Mid Week Bowls

For the mid-week bowlers there is various activities to participate in. The major event is mid-week pennants which is an event organised by the Wellington centre.  This event is a competition played against the various other clubs in the Wellington area.  Played on Wednesdays club members are invited to put their names forward for selection in  any of the four divisions of the completion.  Normally 32 players are required to play but a larger pool of players is required to cover non availability of players for varied reasons.  These games are played on a home and away basis over 11 rounds when the top teams go into play offs to find the eventual winner.  This is a very satisfying and enjoyable event bringing you in contact with many other bowlers outside your own club environment.

Gala's

Mid-Week men run a monthly triples gala.  Members enter their teams and these gala's are usually supported by outside clubs so that a full green of players is ensured.  Other clubs hold similar gala's on varying days and dates.  To enter these you check the Wellington bowls centre book then contact the appropriate club to enter.

Club Days

Club Days On days when members are not involved in other events members are encouraged to play at their own club on any available days.  The club encourages members to play on these days particularly those who are not involved in outside gala play.  Anyone seeking advise or assistance should contact the midweek convenor If you are interested in any of the above, the Dates and Entry forms are located on the noticeboard at the Clubhouse or Contact  Dave Carr, Peter Kirby.
