Twelve pairs played in this event yesterday, the format being four rounds (if necessary) of ten ends. After three rounds, four teams could potentially win, depending on the outcomes of the fourth round. Six teams needed to play the fourth round to find the winner. Emerging as winners from this mildly confusing scenario were Gareth Evans and Keith Alexander, with three wins and a draw.
